    The Appleseed Cast于1997年成立于美国南加州（目前总部设在堪萨斯州的劳伦斯），随后签约Deep Elm Records场牌，第二年发布第一张专辑《The End of the Ring Wars》，2002年的《Lost Songs》获得比较好的评价，2003年跳槽Tiger Style Records场，发布第六张专辑《Two Conversations》，这也是The Appleseed Cast在Tiger Style发布的唯一一张专辑，三年后在新东家The Militia Group场完成《Peregrine》，获得了巨大成功，给我留下了非常深刻的影响。The Appleseed Cast用了两年多的时间沉淀，终于在2008年7月宣布新专辑基本完成，并在2009年初完美呈现这张大碟《Sagarmatha》。这张专辑我最近一直在听，我挺喜欢的，不过和以往的专辑有了一些别样的感觉，可能是因为乐队有成员离开的原因吧，但相比之前的作品，这张《Sagarmatha》Post-Rock的味道浓了一些，我比较喜欢这张鼓点，以及微妙的电吉他，还有主唱的独到的声线，犹如远方传来的呼唤，挺不错的。
